Suzi Gifford studied fine art with the Somerset Art Association in Bernardsville, NJ, and continued her studies at the Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington, DC, where she received her BFA.  Suzi attended graduate school at The American University in Washington, DC, and is a member of the Montgomery Art Association, the Rockville Art League, and co-chair of Penn Place Gallery.

Inspired by the Golden Age Illustrators of children’s books, Suzi began her art career as an illustrator; taught art classes to children, adults and seniors; and currently creates art in various themes and mixed media, including acrylic, watercolor, colored pencil, and pastels.  She also paints whimsical furniture by commission.

“The purpose of my art is simply to capture joyful moments in life, inspire imagination, and preserve memories through painting.”
